Policenama Online: Tamil Nadu congress chief KS Alagiri compared right-wing organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) with the militant group Islamic State (IS).KS Alagiri said that like the IS, RSS also hates those who oppose its thoughts.
The Congress leader said this while extending his support to Makkal Needhi Maiyam (MNM) founder Kamal Haasan’s ‘India’s first terrorist was a Hindu’ remark. He was referring to Mahatma Gandhi’s killer Nathuram Godse.
KS Alagiri said, “I support and agree Kamal Haasan’s statement, not only 100 per cent but 1,000 per cent.””RSS in Hinduism is just like Islamic State in Islam,” KS Alagiri said, adding, “RSS, Jana Sangh, Hindu Mahasabha believe that they should eliminate those who are against their ideology.”
KS Alagiri said, “It is the same as how the IS is in the Arab countries. Even the IS in those countries says that they need to eliminate even the Muslims if they don’t believe in their ideas. It’s not just elimination; it’s elimination from the world itself. Extreme leftists and rightists will follow the same policy. Even religious fundamentalists are the same.”
Earlier in the day, Kamal Haasan had said that Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuran Godse was Independent India’s first terrorist. While addressing an election rally in Tamil Nadu’s Aravakurichi, Kamal Haasan said, “I’m not saying this because there are a lot of Muslims here. I said this in front of Gandhi’s statue. The first terrorist of independent India was a Hindu.” “His name was Nathuram Godse.”
