Collective fight against poverty, unemployment requires : PM Modi


New Delhi : Policenama Online – In his first meeting with the Chief Minister after getting re-elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for a collective fight against poverty, unemployment, corruption, and violence and urgent step to take to tackle drought and drinking water crisis in the country.

“Empowerment and ease of living have to be provided to each and every Indian,” he said addressing the 5th meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog at Rashtrapati Bhawan cultural centre in capital. The focus should be on collective responsibility.

“Describing water as an important element for life, Modi said the poor bear the brunt of insufficient water conservation efforts.

Health and wellness should be the focal point of every decision, he added. He also called upon all members of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog to help create a government setup which works and has the trust of the people.
