Policenama Online – With regard to her Bollywood career, Sonakshi Sinha has had more misses than hits. Her film Kalank had tanked at the box office and she will lead the role in a film based on Paralympic silver medalist Deepa Malik.
Sonakshi met the Paralympics champion during an award show and she then took to twitter saying that it was her fan-girl moment to meet Deepa.
Earlier it was reported that producer Ritesh Sidhwani and actor Farhan Akhtar were planning to make a biopic on Deepa Malik.
“I had watched videos of her and knew that her life story was unreal, but when I met her and she let me hold her medal, the sheer weight of the silver gave me gooseflesh. As she sat in front of me, there was nothing differently-abled about her. She was empowering, a pillar of strength, and I knew that we needed to take her fight to the big screen,” Ritesh had told the newspaper.
