Two arrested for Hitesh Mulchandani’s murder


Pune : Policenama Online – The Crime Branch Unit 4 of Pune city police have arrested two men allegedly involved in the murder of Hitesh Mulchandani in Pimpri.

Mulchandani’s body was found near Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation headquarters on Tuesday morning.

Acting on a tip-off received by policeman Raju Mache, a team led by Police Inspector Anjum Bagwan laid a trap near Maharashtra Restaurant on Aundh Road and nabbed the two suspects identified as Akshay Sanjay Bhosale (25) of Sangvi and Yogesh alias Langda Vithal Tompo (20) of Pimple Gurav. The search for their accomplices is still underway.

The officials informed that the incident had taken place around 3.20 am on January 23 outside Kunal Bar and Restaurant.

The arrested persons, with their accomplices Amin Khan and another person, had reached the bar. Khan was urinating near the gate of the bar, which led to arguments between the bar staff and Khan.

Later, Mulchandani arrived at the place and intervened. The accused then kidnapped him in the vehicle and later, stabbed him to death.

The traders’ community had organised a protest march condemning the murder.
