Narayan Rane Demands President Rule in Maharashtra, Said Uddhav Govt. Has Failed to Control Corona Crisis
Mumbai : The number of corona patients in Maharashtra is steadily increasing. Mumbai remains the largest hotspot. For which the opponents are attacking the government. Now BJP has demanded imposition of President’s rule in the state. At the same time, the Congress is saying that the BJP is not tolerating being out of power. Former Chief Minister and BJP leader Narayan Rane has met Governor to call the army.
Current Maharashtra Government Does Not Have the Ability to Handle Corona Crisis – Narayan Rane
Narayan Rane said, “This government cannot do anything, it cannot save people’s lives. The government is failing. This government does not have the ability to cope with Corona. Therefore, there should be President’s rule in the state.” After meeting Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Rane has also spoken about call the army.
Condition of state government hospitals is pathetic – Narayan Rane
Rane said, “To the Governor, we have requested that in order to save the lives of the people, to give them the right treatment, the Metropolitan Municipality and the State Government Hospitals should be handed over to the Army.” Rane, a Rajya Sabha member claimed that Uddhav Thackeray is an inexperienced Chief Minister who cannot run the police and administration. He said, “The condition of the state government hospitals is pathetic”.
Mumbai accounts for 23% of the country’s total infections
Cases of corona infection in India are 1 lakh 38 thousand 845, while Mumbai has 23% percent of the total infections of the country. In India, 4021 people have died due to corona. 26 percent of these deaths occurred in Mumbai alone. So far, 57 thousand 721 patients have been cured from Corona in India. Of these, 14 per cent have been cured in Mumbai. In India, cases of corona infection are doubling in 12 days and in Mumbai in 14 days.
1695 dead in Maharashtra so far
After 2,436 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Maharashtra on Monday, the total number of infected in the state has increased to 52,667. A health officer gave this information. The death toll has increased to 1,695 with 60 more deaths due to the epidemic. On Monday, 1,186 patients in the state were discharged from hospital after treatment. So far, 3,78,555 people have been tested for Coronavirus in the state.
