Ban on interstate travel in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Northeast states, Corona cases are increasing
Maharashtra : The Maharashtra government said interstate and inter-district movement of persons like stranded migrant workers will be continued. However, interstate movement is allowed for medical professionals, sanitation workers, and ambulances. The lockdown period in Maharashtra has been extended to 30 June.
Tamil Nadu : Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami said that restrictions on interstate bus transport and metro and suburban train services would continue. E-pass will be compulsory for inter-region and interstate travel.
Karnataka : The Karnataka government on Sunday lifted the ban on in-state and interstate movement of people and goods on Sunday, clearing the way for a phased exemption in lockdown by leaving the area under control.
Uttar Pradesh : The Uttar Pradesh government said that there is no restriction on interstate travel, but the decision on the movement of people adjacent to Delhi has been left to the district administrations of Ghaziabad and Noida.
