New Delhi, Policenama Online – Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday announced that the city’s border will remain sealed for one more week. However, he allowed barber shops and salons to be open while the spas in the city will remain closed. The fifth phase of lockdown is starting from Monday.Speaking to the media, he said the new edition of lockdown is starting and the Centre has shared its guidelines.”Based on it, we have decided to allow barber shops and salons. However, spas will remain closed,” Kejriwal said.
The night curfew to remain active between 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., said the Chief Minister, adding that there will now be no limit on people riding on the four-wheelers or two-wheelers.”In autos, e-rickshaws and other vehicles, as per earlier orders, the number of passengers was fixed. But now we are lifting the restrictions on the number of passengers travelling in auto, e-rickshaws and other vehicles,” he said.Kejriwal said, whatever was allowed till now, will be allowed in future as well. All shops in the markets will be allowed, no odd-even implemented. “We were following odd-even rules for shops in the markets but the central government has not stated any such rule, so all shops can open now,” Kejriwal said.
He said, if we opened up the borders, people would start coming from across the country, as Delhi offers the best health services.”The border will be sealed for one week, and only essential services will be allowed. Rest, it will depend on the suggestions from the public,” Kejriwal said as he sought public opinion on the same.”We are offering free treatment in government hospitals. The moment we open up the border, the beds will become limited.
