Parambir Singh | Mumbai police appoints SIT to probe case registered against Param Bir Singh
Mumbai : Policenama online – Parambir Singh | A case of extortion of ransom was registered against Param Bir Singh, former Mumbai Police Commissioner. Meanwhile, information is coming out that a SIT has been appointed by the Mumbai Police to investigate the case against Param Bir Singh.
A case was registered against Param Bir Singh and five other police officers at Marine Drive Police Station. Mumbai Police has appointed SIT to investigate the matter. Bhayander’s builder Shyamsunder Agarwal has filed a case against Parambir Singh and five police officers for demanding ransom of Rs 15 crore.
A case has been registered against the complainant Shyam Sunder Agarwal under MOCCA at Juhu Police Station. The same SIT will also investigate this matter. A total of three cases have been registered against Param Bir Singh. One such case has been registered in Mumbai and two in Thane.
In the case registered in Marine Drive, an FIR was registered against the complainant Shyam Sunder Agarwal in connection with the underworld don Chhota Shakeel.
The head of the SIT will be an officer of the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police. An officer of the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police will act as the Investigating Officer for this investigation.
The SIT will also include officers of the rank of Inspector of Police,
Sub-Inspector of Police and Assistant Inspector of Police.
