700 cases of coronavirus infected patients found in a week in Pune


Pune : Policenama online  – Seven cases of Omicron variant have been reported in Pune and the number of coronavirus infected patients is also increasing. Hence, the administration has imposed a curfew from 9 pm to 5 am.

As a precautionary step, the number of tests being carried out every day has also been increased. At present, on an average, 6,000 to 7,000 tests are being conducted every day. Efforts are being made to step up contact tracing.

During the period from December 1 to 25, 2,194 corona patients were found and 1,44,551 tests were carried out during the period. The positivity rate has been recorded at 1.54 pc. In December, the lowest patients of 33 were recorded on December 20.

On December 25, 149 corona patients were found. The number of patients has increased due to the increase in the number of tests.
