An FIR has been registered against Ranjeet Mahadev Patil (32), Assistant Registrar, Cooperative Organisation, Niphad and Pradeep Arjun Veer Narayan (45), senior clerk, Cooperative Organisation, Niphad. Ranjeet Patil sought a bribe of ₹20 lakh for not taking action against the complainant’s grandfather under the Moneylenders’ Act on March 29. Ranjeet Patil took the money in the presence of the panches at Mumbai Naka and he has been arrested.

 

SP Sharmishtha Gharge Walawalkar, Addl SP NS Nyahalde, DySP Narendra Pawar guided PI Sandip Salunkhe and policemen Pravin Mahajan, Nitin Karad and Prabhakar Gavli.
