ACB Trap On Sunita Dhangar | Unaccounted money found in bank accounts of Nashik Municipal Corporation’s Education Officer Sunita Dhangar
Nashik : ACB Trap On Sunita Dhangar | Skeletons are tumbling out of tainted Nashik Municipal Corporation officer Sunita Dhangar’s closet. A probe into her bank accounts revealed that she had over Rs 30.16 lakh deposited in them.
Earlier, Sunita Subhas Dhangar was nabbed in an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) trap while accepting a bribe of Rs 55,000. She was arrested. Later, the ACB found Rs 85 lakh cash and 322 gm gold ornaments in her house in a raid.
A case was registered against Dhangar at the Sarkarwada Police Station of the Nashik Police. Following the raid on her home, the ACB checked her bank accounts and found Rs 30,16,620 deposited in four separate accounts in State Bank of India, Nashik and in an account in Nashik District Central Co-Operative Bank Ltd.
Meanwhile, Dhangar was produced in the court as her police custody ended on Tuesday. The court extended her police custody by one more day. The matter is being investigated by PI Sandeep Ghuge under the guidance of SP (ACB, Nashik) Sharmishta Gharge-Walawalkar and DySP Narendra Pawar.
