Anurag Thakur asks officers to work efficiently to meet cent development targets

Hamirpur (HP), Jan 19 (UNI) – Union Information and Broadcasting Minister, Anurag Thakur on Thursday asked the district officers to work expeditiously towards achieving 100 per cent target of all the schemes by the end of the financial year 2022-23.

He said along with achieving the goals of development, all officers should also give their feedback and suggestions to the government regarding the implementation of the schemes. With this, the government can make necessary improvements in its policies and plans, he felt.

Thakur said this during a meeting of the DISHA (District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee) here today, Deputy Commissioner, Debasweta Banik was also present in the meeting.

Expressing satisfaction over the progress of various schemes in the district, the Union Minister said along with achieving the goals of development, all officers should also give their feedback and suggestions to the government regarding the implementation of the schemes. With this, the government can make necessary improvements in its policies and plans.

The Union Minister asked the officers of agriculture, horticulture, industry, rural development and other departments to make serious efforts towards increasing the income of common people and creating self-employment opportunities. He directed all the departments to share the special achievements of the district and also the success stories of the beneficiaries of various schemes. This will motivate others to take advantage of government schemes and the ranking of district Hamirpur will further improve in various parameters of development.

He said the major projects being implemented in the district should be regularly reviewed so that these projects could be completed within the stipulated period. He also laid special emphasis on the use of technology to curb illegal mining.

Reviewing the TB eradication campaign, Thakur said all the departments should take responsibility for at least one TB patient and contribute to make the district completely TB free.

The plans and development works related to the Public Works Department, National Highway, Jal Shakti Department, Electricity Board, Education, Health, Women and Child Development Department, Rural Development, Industry, Agriculture, Horticulture and other departments were reviewed in the meeting. The departmental officers presented detailed information regarding these.

Deputy Commissioner Debashweta Banik thanked the Union Minister and said compliance of all the instructions given in the meeting would be ensured. On this occasion, non-official members of the committee also made important suggestions.
