Pune : Policenama online | India fought its first war as a nation in 1965 and won it. However, the Indian soldiers’ victory in the 1971 War, when Bangladesh was carved out, was the first biggest and decisive victory for the country, said former CM and Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan.
He said this victory was a result of the coordination among the three armed forces. He was speaking after inaugurating a 3D multimedia laser show at the Vasantrao Bagul Garden in Shivdarshan. It is based on the 1971 War victory, which has completed 50 years.
Earlier, tribute was paid to the martyrs who laid their lives while defending the country and CDS Bipin Rawat and others, who died in a chopper crash recently. Floral tributes were paid to the images of Indira Gandhi and Gen Sam Manekshaw who were the architects of the 1971 War Victory.
Pune : Policenama online | Investigations launched by the Pune Cyber Police into the MahaTET question paper leak have reportedly thrown up shocking details, following probes into question paper leaks of the state health department and Mhada recruitment exams.
An offence was registered late on Thursday night in the MahaTET question paper leak case. Maharashtra State Council of Examination Commissioner Tukaram Supe and Abhishek Savrikar have been arrested. This was revealed by Commissioner of Police Amitabh Gupta in a press meet on Friday.
Malpractices in the exam held in January 2020
The advertisement for the MahaTET examination was published in 2019. It was held in January 2020. Supe has been accused of passing students by taking bribes in the exam.
Valuables worth Rs 90 lakh seized from Supe’s house
Cash over Rs 88.49 lakh, a 5-gm gold coin, an FD worth Rs 5.50 lakh and documents have allegedly been seized from Tukaram Supe’s residence. It was learnt that Supe had apparently given lakhs of rupees to his friend, said the Pune police.
