New Delhi : The country’s general budget is being presented today. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is reading the budget speech in Lok Sabha. Everyone is eyeing this budget to revive the stagnant economy in the Corona crisis. Tax or employment, the country has high expectations from this budget on every front.

Big announcement for many electoral states including Bengal
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the National Highway Project (1.03 lakh crore) in Tamil Nadu, Economic Corridors will be built in this. 65 thousand crore national highways will be built in Kerala, Mumbai-Kanyakumari Economic Corridor. Announcement of National Highway Project for Kolkata-Siliguri is also announced for West Bengal. The Finance Minister announced the Highway and Economic Corridor in Assam in the next three years.

Big announcement for railway and metro
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the National Rail Scheme 2030 is ready. A total budget of Rs 1.10 lakh crore has been given to the Railways. Apart from Indian Railways, the focus will be on increasing metro, city bus service. For this, a cost of 18 thousand crores will be imposed. Now the emphasis is on bringing metro lights. It was announced to promote the metro project in Kochi, Bangalore, Chennai, Nagpur, Nashik.

Nirmala Sitharaman’s big announcement for the power sector
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also announced for the power sector. A scheme costing more than Rs 3 lakh crore is being launched by the government, which will work to strengthen the electricity-related infrastructure in the country. It has also been announced by the government to build a hydrogen plant. In the power sector, many projects will be completed under the PPP model.
