Chandan Nagar Police Take Action Against Two Gangsters Over Threatening Company Owner
Pune: Earlier, the issue of extortion under the guise of Mathadi workers for unloading imported goods was a persistent concern. However, recent developments have unveiled a more alarming trend. Gangsters are now resorting to aggressive tactics, threatening to vandalise vehicles if people do not give transportation works to their recommended people.
In this regard, Harshal Vaze (age 45) has lodged a complaint at Chandan Nagar police station. Accordingly, the police have registered a case against the gangsters Vaibhav Pacharane and Somnath Pathare (a resident of Kharadi). Vaibhav Pacharane is a recidivist gangster, and earlier many cases had been registered against him at Yerawada Police Station.
According to the information given by the police, the plaintiff has a ‘Barclays Global Service Centre’ company in Kharadi. A few days ago, gangsters Vaibhav Pacharane and Somnath Pathare entered the company without any permission and asked the plaintiff to give the company’s transportation orders to their vendors. Further, they threatened to block the company’s cars and damage them if their request did not meet.
When the plaintiff ignored their threats, the accused again threatened the plaintiff to vandalise the company’s cars. After that, the plaintiff approached the police, and Assistant Police Inspector Ligade is now investigating the case.
