Mumbai: The constituents of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) do not seem to be unanimous over some seats. Almost 90 pc seats have been distributed. Many candidates have been named.

Now, the Maha Yuti is also sorting out their differences in Delhi.

A dispute over some seats between the Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Congress has reached Delhi. Senior Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat has now claimed that the earlier formula of 85-85-85 has changed.

MPCC Chief Nana Patole and Thorat are in Delhi, where the latter spoke about the new formula in Maharashtra in a press meet. The formula is now 90-90-90. Thus, the seats of the three partners, the Congress, the NCP (SP) and the Shiv Sena (UBT) have increased. The remaining 18 seats have been given to smaller parties in the combine, said Thorat.

He said, “There will be no friendly contest anywhere within the MVA. We are fielding only strong candidates. We have given 18 seats to other alliance partners. Our 85-85-85 formula has changed and seats have now increased with the formula: 90-90-90. We have not considered some last-moment changes, if any, so that our tally could cross 100.”

The Congress has announced its list of 48 candidates. Most sitting MLAs have been retained. The total number of candidates announced by the MVA has gone up to 158. The NCP (SP) has named 45 while the Shiv Sena (UBT) has published names of 65 candidates.

The remaining lists of the MVA are awaited eagerly.
