Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, (UNI) : Aurangabad Kiradpura Riots | Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city Police Commissioner Dr Nikhil Gupta informed on Sunday that so far 80 attackers have been identified and 28 accused have been arrested by different teams of police in connection with the clashes on Wednesday night at Kiradpura area.

 

During the clashes stone pelting and arson were done resulting in 15 policemen getting injured and 16 vehicles being set on fire.

 

After that, the police have registered cases against more than 400 people in this case. The police are now arresting the accused.

 

Dr Gupta has informed that 80 rioters who were shouting in Kiradpura have been identified. Out of these 28 people have been arrested. The work of identifying all of them through CCTV is going on and search to nab more accused is on through technical evidence.

 

He also said a lot of evidence has now been obtained and there will soon be a big revelation.

 

Meanwhile, a meeting of the Mahavikas Aghadi is being held in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Sunday evening, on the other hand, a Savarkar Gaurav Yatra has been organised by the BJP and the Shiv Sena Shinde group on same time.

 

A large force of police has been deployed for this yatra. Along with this, both the programs will be monitored through CCTV and drone cameras.

 

Dr Gupta told that there is peace in the city and both the organizers have assured us that there will be no chaos.
