Doctor rapes patient in his clinic; Accused arrested by Bharati Vidyapeeth police station
Pune: Policenama online – Pune Crime News | A doctor tried to establish intimacy with a woman by sending her messages and calling her and later, called her to his clinic under the pretext of issuing an apology. Under the excuse of administering an injection, he raped her in his clinic and he has been arrested by the Bharati Vidyapeeth police. (Pune Crime News)
The accused has been identified as Dr Amit Anandrao Dabde (29), a resident of Ambegaon Khurd. The incident took place in Kalpanand clinic in Katraj-Mangdewadi area from July 1, 2022 till now. A 32-year-old woman has lodged a complaint (259/23) at the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station.
According to the police, the accused, Dr Amit Dabde established intimacy with the complainant by sending her messages frequently and calling her. He talked sweetly with her and tried to get physical with her. When the complainant protested, he called her to his clinic under the pretext of offering an apology. The complainant had come to the accused’s clinic to take an injection. The accused took advantage of the situation and raped her. Later, he followed her repeatedly against her wish. Hence, she finally approached the police and lodged a complaint. API Tawde is probing the case.
