ERSS Police New Helpline Number | Now, soon you will get help from police on dialling 112 and not 100

Pune :  Policenama online –  ERSS Police New Helpline Number |  In Pune city, the number of crimes and accidents is increasing. Hence, Pune police have announced a single emergency helpline number. The new helpline number is 112. The helpline can be not only in Pune but in other parts of the state also, according to information given by Pune police on Twitter.

 

On 112 helpline number, Puneites will get all kinds of help. The helplines of police, ambulance, fire brigade and women have been merged to provide a unified facility. If a number is dialled by using GPS, the person on the line will come to know from where the call has been made.

 

A tweet of Pune police says, “Remember, soon, there will be only one emergency number i.e. 112. All other numbers 100, 101 (fire brigade) and 1091 (women’s helpline) will be integrated in this number.”

 

112 is an emergency number like the US helpline number 911 and the helpline will be started as a part of the Emergency Response Support System. Earlier, we had to dial 100 for police help, 1091 for women’s helpline and 1098 for child helpline. If a person dials 112, then the GPS system available with the nearest police officials will get the information. The complainant will get immediate help.

 

While dialling 100 number, the police and the citizens had to face various problems. There was a doubt as to why the person had called and sometimes, the callers used to give wrong information. However, now the police and citizens will be freed of these problems and the citizens will get help in the shortest possible time.
