New Delhi : Farmers’ unions have announced a five-hour blockade of the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway on Saturday (March 6, 2021) to mark the 100th day of their ongoing agitation.

The announcement of the blockade was made by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM). It said that the farmers will block the Western Peripheral Expressway or Kundli–Manesar–Palwal (KMP) Expressway on March 6. The purpose behind this is to mark 100th day of their agitation against the farm laws.

The farmer leaders said that the ‘MSP Dilao Abhiyan’ will also be launched by the SKM across the country. The actual price received by the farmers in different markets will be highlighted as part of the campaign, so as to show the government that the promises made about the MSP are false.

Apart from Delhi, farmers are on a sit-in demonstration in Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh for the past 87 days. The police administration has so far neither allowed them to set up tents nor provided any other assistance. A mahapanchayat was organized here on 3 and 4 March, after which permission has been given to install tents. There is a plan to conduct mahapanchayat in Madhya Pradesh in the coming time.
