Fatal attack on complainant by Municipal engineer and contractor
Pune : Policenama online – Municipal engineer | A complaint has been lodged at Shivajinagar police station against a deputy engineer and a contractor for beating up a complainant while seeking information regarding corruption in the municipal drainage system.
According to the complaint filed by the plaintiff Sandeep Chandrakant Ojha, a case has been fled. Meanwhile, a complaint has already been lodged against Lalit Bendre and Prakash Kumbhar, Deputy Engineer, Drainage Department, Savarkar Bhavan, Pune Municipal Corporation and Lalu Kaluram Deokar, Contractor, regarding corruption in drainage at Bhavani Peth Regional Office.
Complainant said, “Lalu Deokar pulled out a scythe from his waist and ran towards me, hit me on the right side of my head and seriously injured me. His brother came from behind and hit me on the left side. Lalit Bendre and Prakash Kumbhar were also present there. So I lodged a legal complaint against the above four and the crime has been registered.”
