Akshay Godse has released a video giving an explanation on the issue. He says in the video that the Godse family is supporting BJP candidate Hemant Rasane in the Kasba Peth bypoll. Akshay Godse extended best wishes to MVA candidate Ravindra Dhangekar through a video. This led to speculation among members of Ganesh mandals. Now, Akshay Godse has given an explanation on the issue.
“I am supporting Hemant Rasane”
“I am going to support Hemant Rasane. I have good relations with Ravindra Dhangekar but I have never said that our family is extending our support to him. Dhangekar had come to meet me and his supporters requested me to prepare a video. I only extended my best wishes to Dhangekar,” Akshay Godse said.
“I and my family openly declare support for Hemant Rasane. I am working with Rasane since few days. There are no differences between us. However, efforts are being made to show that there are differences between us. A misunderstanding is being created on social media. We are supporting Rasane and I am taking part in his election campaign,” Godse added.
