FIR registered against two persons for putting up banner congratulating Ravindra Dhangekar
Pune : Policenama online – Pune Crime News | An FIR has been registered against two persons who had put up a banner congratulating MVA candidate Ravindra Dhangekar for being elected as an MLA even before the result for the Kasba Peth bypoll was announced. (Pune Crime News)
The accused have been identified as Rahul Bhau Mankar and Atul Naik. The inspector of PMC’s Sky Sign Department Yuvraj Vivek Wagh (32) has lodged a complaint with the Sinhagad Road police station (116/23).
The polling for the Kasba Peth bypoll was held on Sunday and the counting is going to take place on March 2.
After the voting was completed, a 20×20 banner had been put up on the bridge and footpath in Vadgaon vegetable market congratulating Ravindra Dhangekar for being elected as MLA. The names of Rahul Bhau Mankar and Atul Naik were written on the banner.
The complainant and licence inspector Ajit Joglekar went to the spot and confirmed about the display of banners. They asked a worker who told him that Atul Naik had told him to put up the banner.
An FIR has been registered against them for displaying banners and defacing public property.
