A major fire reported at Sheetal Hotel Restaurant and Bar located near City Pride Multiplex on Satara Road on Friday morning.
After receiving information the fire brigade department of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) reached the spot (Sheetal Hotel). The fire officials were trying to douse the fire off till the report was published.
A total of two fire brigade vehicles and a water tanker were sent to the location.
The major fire gutted almost all material in the hotel however no injury or casualty reported.
The hotel is one of the oldest hotels in the area which is situated near the busy Market Yard. On Friday morning at 9 am the fire started and slowly gutted most of the material including furniture.

Bharti Vidyapeeth Police arrested a 24-year-old for allegedly terrorizing by brandishing a sword in the Dhankawadi locality.
The accused has been identified as Navnath Vitthal Ghadge resident of Sai Siddhi Chowk, Ambegaon Pathar.
According to police residents of Chintamani Dnyanpeeth Chowk of Dhanakawadi area informed that Ghadge was trying to spread terror among residents of the area. On information, police reached the spot and seized the sword, and detained him.
During the investigation, police got to know that he was also involved in the vandalization of vehicles in Ambegaon Pathar on June 26. He allegedly damaged four-wheelers by breaking glasses. The incident was also reported with Bharti Vidyapeeth Police and a case was lodged with the police against an unidentified person.
According to police, he had a fight with his brother and in a fit of rage, he pelted stones on his brother’s car damaging it. Following this, police arrested him under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
