Mumbai : Policenama online – Dhiraj Patil suspended | Former addl SP of Satara and Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company’s security and enforcement department’s executive director Dhiraj Shankarrao Patil, against whom there was a complaint of misbehaviour and a case pending with ACB, has been suspended. He has been transferred to the Home Guards department. Joint Secretary Venkatesh Bhat has issued the order on the instructions of the governor.
There are many complaints against Dhiraj Patil from the electrical department. There are complaints against him of moving outside without taking permission from the head office, drinking and misbehaviour in public places and using a car fitted with red lamp. A case is also pending with ACB. Since there is a complaint pending with Lokayukta, the state government has taken serious action against him.
After suspension, he has been transferred to Home Guards headquarters in Mumbai. He will not be able to leave office without the permission of the superintendent of Home Guards. If he leaves the head office without permission, it will be considered an act of misbehaviour and separate action will be taken against him, the order says.
