Former Shiv Sena minister Vijay Shivtare expelled from party

Pune: Policenama online  – Vijay Shivtare | Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his group is asserting that it is the real Shiv Sena and revolted against the Maha Vikas Aghadi. Forty MLAs out of 55 of Shiv Sena have joined the group led by Shinde. This has led to a split in the Shiv Sena. Not only MLAs but former ministers, former and serving office-bearers, corporators and MPs are joining the group led by Shinde.

Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena has started taking action against rebels and they are being expelled from the party. Former minister from Pune district Vijay Shivtare has been expelled for carrying out anti-party activities. Shivtare’s membership has been cancelled according to information from Shiv Sena’s central office. Earlier, some corporators from the party have joined the Shinde group jolting the Shiv Sena.

Some days ago, a post of Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil congratulating Eknath Shinde had become viral. Hence, a report of Adhalrao-Patil being sacked was published in Saamana. Adhalrao-Patil expressed disappointment after this decision. Uddhav Thackeray said the report was published by mistake and Adhalrao-Patil is in Shiv Sena.

The chief of Thane district Naresh Mhaske was expelled for anti-party activities. However, Eknath Shinde said this was an illegal act and restored Mhaske’s position. The Shiv Sena has clarified that Mhaske has no connection with the party. The Shiv Sainiks should not fall prey to rumours and no one can appoint anybody apart from the chief of the party, the party leaders have warned the partymen.
