Gang assaults youth in Hadapsar; FIR registered against accused

Pune : Policenama online – Pune Crime News | Members of a gang tried to kill two youths with sharp weapons after accusing them of killing a youth named Aniket. Pradeep Dinkar Devkar (22), a resident of Hadapsar, has been seriously injured. Based on his complaint, the police have registered an FIR against Om alias Pintu Bhandari (23), Sagar Ghaytadak (19), Rajan Lavand (22), Meghraj Shitole, all residents of Malwadi, Hadapsar. The incident took place at Government school number 32 in Hadapsar on Wednesday at 1.30 am. (Pune Crime News)

According to the police, in 2022 Aniket Shivaji Ghaytadak had been killed. Shubham Bhonde is an accused in the case and he was in jail for three years. He has been recently released on bail. The complainant, Pradeep Devkar, was going home in autorickshaw with Shubham Bhonde when the accused arrived on two-wheelers. They pulled out the complainant and Bhonde and assaulted them. The accused told them, “You have killed Aniket and we will reply with murder. If you give me ₹5 lakh, I will spare you.” They assaulted Devkar and Bhonde with sharp weapons and escaped after creating terror in the area. The accused are criminals on police records and API Dange is probing the case.
