The Konkan region has been hit the hardest by the torrential rains and floods. Hundreds of people have been killed in landslides in various villages in Konkan. The landslide also hit the railways. The train was running from Mangalore in Karnataka to Mumbai on Friday. A video of the incident has now surfaced. According to media reports, the incident took place in the Dudhsagar-Sonaulim section. According to the information received, the crashed train has been identified as 01134 Mangalore Junction-CSMT Express. Due to the floods in Chiplun, the route of this railway was changed and it was diverted to Madgaon-Miraj route. The good thing is that there were no casualties in this accident.

Meanwhile, the passengers of the crashed train have been rushed back to Kulem. Landslides have occurred at two places between Dudhsagar and Sonaulim stations and between Karanjol and Dudhsagar stations in the ghat section of the Hubli division of the South-Western Railway. Work is currently underway to restore traffic in the area.

Apart from this, 02780 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Vasco da Gama Express is also among the cancelled trains. The train, which was diverted from Delhi on Wednesday, has been partially cancelled between Londa and Vasco. Train No. 08048 Vasco da Gama-Howrah Express, 07420 Vasco da Gama-Tirupati Express and 07420/7022 Vasco da Gama Tirupati Hyderabad Express have also been cancelled.
