Hamirpur (HP), Jan 15 (UNI) – Hamirpur News | Goods worth several lakhs of rupees mainly, the school dresses were completely burnt to ashes when the fire broke out in the five-story building of the upper bazaar area of Hamirpur town early morning on Sunday. (Hamirpur News)

Eyewitnesses said two explosions led to the fire incident and short-circuiting was said to be the main reason behind the fire. The shop was owned by Shakti Chand Thakur.

 

Fortunately, the fire brigade team reached the spot and saved it from fire. Otherwise, there may be a lot of damage to the surrounding population.

 

Another shopkeeper Ashwini Kumar said if the fire brigade had come on time, there could have been more damage to the property. He said the local People also helped a lot in running away from the fire.

 

Fire brigade officer DS Bhatia said as soon as the fire was reported, he reached the dangerous places within 5 minutes and started the work of escape from the fire. The entire team put in a lot of effort to prevent the fire from spreading. Readymade goods kept in the shop burnt in the fire.

 

Hamirpur police have registered a case of the fire incident and an investigation into the cause of the fire was being ascertained.
