Gram Sevak kidnapped after breaking beer bottle in front of his car, Accused take ₹73,000 from him and confine him to farm house
Pune: Policenama online – Pune Crime News | A Gram Sevak was kidnapped in a filmy style by breaking a beer bottle in front of a car and he was kept at a farm house in Kudje. He was threatened that he would be poisoned and money was extorted from him.
Maheshkumar Nanaso Khade (39), a resident of Ambegaon, has lodged a complaint (51/23) at the Uttam Nagar police station. Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR against Vikas Prakash Gaikwad (38), a resident of Kudje, Haveli and his two accomplices. The police have arrested his two aides. (Pune Crime News)
According to the police, Maheshkumar Khade was going home in his car through Kudje village on Thursday evening. When he reached the Kudje crematorium, two people on a two-wheeler stopped his car and broke a beer bottle in front of his car. They questioned Khade why he had sounded the horn. The duo sat in the car by telling Khade that they will sort out the issue at the sarpanch’s hotel. They took Khade to Dagde farm. They tied the hands, legs and throat of Khade and confined him to a room. They tried to force him to drink some liquid from a bottle by telling him that it was poison. They threatened to kill Khade’s family and forcefully took ₹49,000 from his account and ₹24,000 from his accounts from PhonePay to their account.
They took away his mobile and car and demanded ₹1.5 lakh. After Khade was released, he informed the police about the incident. The police have registered an FIR and arrested the two accused.
