HP: Rampur-Haroli bridge will be illuminated with solar lights

Hamirpur/ Una (HP), Jan 20 (UNI) – In Himachal Pradesh’s one of longest Rampur-Haroli bridge in district Una, 82 solar lights are being installed by the Public Works Department at a cost of Rs 16 lakh for the benefit of the travelers.

 

Presently, the bridge portion remains in dark during the night hours and becomes difficult for the vehicle owners to ply their vehicles during the foggy weather.

 

However, with the installation of solar lights, their suffering will be minimized, said Deputy Commissioner, Raghav Sharma.

 

It was due to the initiative of local MLA-cum-Deputy Chief Minister, Mukesh Agnihotri that the work for the installation of solar lights had started by the Public works department.

 

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri visited Rampur-Haroli Bridge last night and inspected the work related to installation of solar lights. A large number of local people and officers were present on this occasion.

 

On this occasion, he said that with the installation of solar lights, there will be convenience for the people traveling through this bridge at night. The Deputy Chief Minister said that development, welfare and poor service are the main agenda of the state government and according to this; the state government is continuously taking public interest decisions.

 

He said that Chhinmastika Dham, the main religious place of North India, is trying to provide world class facilities to the devotees coming from India and abroad in the Chintpurni temple and the present state government has taken many positive steps in this direction as soon as it assumed power.

 

He informed that another big bridge would also be constructed between Padoga to Tiudi in Haroli assembly constituency. This bridge to be built on the Swan river will not only ease the movement of Haroli assembly constituency residents to other parts of Una district, but will also create an alternative road for vehicles coming from Gagret, Hoshiarpur and Jalandhar.

 

The Deputy Chief Minister also listened to the problems of the people on the occasion and also directed the concerned officers to solve them.

 

On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Una Raghav Sharma, ASP Una Praveen Dhiman, Una District Congress Party President Ranjit Singh Rana and District General Secretary Pramod Kumar, Divisional President Haroli Congress Party Vinod Kumar Bittu and many dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
