ICSE, ISC board exams postponed due to rising corona cases

New Delhi : The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has postponed the final examinations of ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) due to the increasing cases of COVID-19. The final exam of ICSE or Class 10 was to be held from May 4 to June 7. At the same time, the ISC or Class 12 final examinations started from April 8. The Council said that the status of COVID will be closely monitored and a final decision on these examinations will be taken in the first week of June 2021.

Class 12 examination (offline) will be held at a later date, for class 10 students, the exam is optional. The CISCE will develop a criterion for their results for Class 10 students who do not want to appear in the examination.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Madhya Pradesh Board, Rajasthan Board, Himachal Pradesh Board, and Maharashtra Board have postponed the examinations in view of the Covid-19 epidemic. States like West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh have said that they are monitoring the situation and at the moment they have not decided whether to conduct board examinations or not.
