PIMPRI : Policenama onlineSharad Pawar In Pune | NCP President Sharad Pawar said that the early morning swearing-in ceremony led to the lifting of the president’s rule in the state. He also said that die-hard Shiv Sainiks were with Uddhav Thackeray. Pawar was speaking at a press conference at Rahatani as the poll campaign has reached its peak for the Chinchwad assembly constituency bypoll. The MVA is organising meetings and programmes in the constituency. (Sharad Pawar In Pune)

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had said that Sharad Pawar was aware of the early morning swearing-in ceremony. Reacting to it, Pawar said, “My name crops up whenever anything happens in the state. However, the ceremony was beneficial for the state. It led to the formation of the MVA government. In Chinchwad, the contest will be BJP versus MVA. Elections cannot be won by a crowd of political leaders. It is important to see the reach of the party in the area.”

“When efforts are made to tarnish the image of a party or leaders of a party, then people show their solidarity with the leaders. Earlier also, there were splits in parties. However, there is no precedence of snatching the name and symbol of a party due to vendetta. Hence, it is necessary to find out whether the Election Commission of India is acting on its own or someone is guiding it,” he said.

Speaking about the departure of former governor Koshyari from the state, he said he is happy that Koshyari is no longer the governor. It is the state government’s responsibility to ensure the safety of all citizens.
