Kolhapur Crime | 36-year-old man arrested for raping 6-year-old girl in Kolhapur district
Kolhapur : Policenama online – Kolhapur Crime | A shocking incident has been reported from Hatkanangale taluka in Kolhapur district (Kolhapur Crime) . A 36-year-old man has raped a 6-year-old girl. The accused has been identified as Kapil Ashok Hattalge and the incident has created a flutter in the area. An FIR has been registered at Ichalkaranji Shivaji Nagar police station and the accused has been arrested.
According to the information, Kapil, a resident of lane number 3 of Shahu Nagar is married and has three daughters. He works as a labourer in a spinning mill located in the area. On Tuesday afternoon, he lured the girl by promising her to give chocolate and raped her near the mill.
Since the girl was experiencing pains,
she informed her parents about the incident.
She was admitted to IGM Hospital on Wednesday.
When the news of this incident spread,
the youths in the area started searching for Kapil
but he had escaped.
The angry youths ransacked his house
and destroyed the belongings.
The Shivaji Nagar police arrived on the scene
and Kapil was arrested under various sections of the POCSO Act.
