Lata Mangeshkar is still in ICU, doctors will decide on discharge
Mumbai : Policenama online – India’s Nightingale Lata Mangeshkar’s health condition is stable. She is likely to be discharged after doctors attending to her decide to do so. This was revealed by her spokesperson Anusha Srinivasan Iyer on Thursday. (Lata Mangeshkar)
Mangeshkar was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital on January 8 after she was diagnosed with Covid-19. Her fans and followers are worried and have been praying for her good health.
The nonagenarian singer suffered from pneumonia, along with Covid. Doctors are more cautious due to her old age. Hence, she is still being treated in the ICU. Doctors attending to her had told some days ago that she would be treated for 10-12 days in the hospital so that better treatment could be given to her. Mangeshkar’s health condition is improving. However, she is still in the ICU, said Aiyar.
Lata Mangeshkar has been honoured with many awards. She has got the highest civilian honour ‘Bharat Ratna’. She has sung thousands of songs in 36 languages.
