MUMBAI: Maharashtra Cabinet Expansion | The MLAs of BJP and Shinde Group of Shiv Sena are looking forward to the cabinet expansion after the Supreme Court verdict. Information about the cabinet expansion is being made available. The sources say that a green signal has been given for the cabinet expansion. The cabinet is likely to be expanded next week. The permission for cabinet expansion was received during BJP President JP Nadda’s visit to Mumbai. The expansion is likely to happen on May 23 or 24.

 

The expansion of the cabinet was pending due to the SC’s verdict. However, the SC has delivered its verdict. After the court gave relief to the Shinde government, the process of expansion of the cabinet gathered steam. Everyone is waiting to see who will get the opportunity to become a minister from the Shinde Group and the BJP.

 

The names of MLAs who are likely to become ministers are being discussed openly. The list of MLAs include Bharat Gogawale (Water Conservation), Sanjay Shirsath (Transport or Social Justice), Pratap Sarnaik (Housing), Bachchu Kadu (Divyang Development), Sada Sarvankar, YaminiJadhav, Anil Babar and Chiman Aba Patil.
Two days ago, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis had hinted at the cabinet expansion. Earlier, CM Eknath Shinde had informed that the ministry will be expanded soon. Since the expansion has not happened, the development works are pending. The common man is unhappy and this can adversely affect the state government, MLA Bachchu Kadu had warned.
