Maharashtra Police Inspector (PI) Suspended | Police Inspector pays dearly for misbehaving with judge; Controversial PI suspended; FIR registered against him at police station where he was in charge

GADCHIROLI: Police Inspector Rajesh Khandve of Chamorshi police station in Gadchiroli district, who had grabbed the headlines for his connection with the assault of Chamorshi APMC Atul Ganyarpawar during the election, has been suspended for misbehaving with a judge. An FIR has been registered against him at the same police station where he has worked as in charge officer. The suspension has sent shock waves in the police department.
During the election of Chamorshi APMC, Ganyarpawar had alleged that PI Rajesh Khandve had called him to the police station in the morning and assaulted him. Meanwhile, an agitation was held against PI Rajesh Khandve in Chamorshi.
Later, Ganyarpawar approached the JMFC at Chamorshi. JMFC ND Meshram after hearing both the parties, issued orders that an FIR should be registered against PI Rajesh Khandve under sections 294, 324, 326 and 342 of the IPC on May 20.
On the morning of May 25, PI Khandve went to the residence of Judge Meshram and had an argument with him over his order of registering an FIR against him and misbehaved with him.
Judge Meshram immediately informed SP Neelotpal. The charge of Chamorshi police station has been temporarily handed over to PSI Sudhir Sathe.
