8 cabinet minister, 5 ministers of state, Eknath Shinde Dy CM; formula ready to form govt with BJP
Pune: Policenama online – Maharashtra Political Crisis | The rebel MLAs and the BJP are discussing the possibility of forming the government in the state. Once a consensus emerges, they will announce the formula. However, the main question is whether Shinde will put pressure on the BJP to make him the deputy chief minister.
Shinde has called a meeting of his supporter MLAs around noon on Tuesday. It will take place at Radisson Blue Hotel in Guwahati.
Will Shinde demand the deputy chief minister’s post?
The most important question is whether Eknath Shinde would demand the Deputy CM’s post. What portfolios will he get?
It was learnt that if the rebel MLAs decide to form the government with the BJP, they will get eight cabinet and five minister of state berths. Shinde told the BJP that the independent MLAs supporting them should be given ministries from the BJP quota.
Rebel ministers want to retain their current portfolios
The Shinde group has eight incumbent ministers. They want to retain their portfolios because their decisions made in the past one month have been stayed by CM Uddhav Thackeray. They have been stripped of their ministries, which have been given to other MLAs.
Possible ministers from Shinde group

14 out of 18 Shiv Sena MPs are in touch with Eknath Shinde
According to the latest updates, 14 out of 18 Shiv Sena MPs are in touch with Eknath Shinde. If this happens, Shinde’s claim on Shiv Sena’s election symbol and party will be strengthened.
Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has taken a firm stand in the backdrop of political upheaval in the state. He has sought files, on which decisions were made during June 22-24.
The Shiv Sena apprehends that the governor may ask the government to face the trust vote. The party is lagging behind in the number game. It may approach the Supreme Court against a possible floor test.
