Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s big decision: Portfolios of ‘absent’ ministers reallocated

Mumbai : Policenama online Maharashtra Political Crisis | Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has decided to reallocate portfolios of four ‘absent’ ministers and four ministers of state to ensure that important work doesn’t come to a standstill and to deal with any eventuality in case of heavy rains.

 

According to Maharashtra government rules and regulations, if a minister is unable to fulfil his duties due to sickness or any other reason, the chief minister can direct any other minister to fulfil some or all duties of another minister. Hence, a decision has been taken to reallocate the portfolios.

 

The Urban Development and MSRDC portfolio has been given to Subhash Desai from Eknath Shinde, Water supply and sanitation department has been given to Anil Dattatray Parab from Gulabrao Raghunath Patil, agriculture and ex-servicemen welfare department has been given to Shankar Gadakh from Dadaji Bhuse, Employment Guarantee Scheme and horticulture to Shankar Gadakh from Sandipan Bhumre and Higher and technical education portfolio has been given to Aaditya Thackeray from Uday Samant. The portfolio of Shambhuraje Desai has been given to Sanjay Bansode, Vishwajeet Kadam, minister of state (finance, planning, skill development and entrepreneurship), Satej alias Bunty D Patil. The portfolio of Rajendra Shamgonda Patil Yadravkar has been given to Vishwajeet Kadam (Public health and family welfare), Prajakt Prasad Tanpure (Medical education and textiles), Satej alias Bunty D Patil, minister of state (FDA) and Aditi Sunil Tatkare, minister of state (Cultural department)

 

The portfolios of Abdul Nabi Sattar, minister of state, have been given to Prajakt Prasad Tanpure, minister of state (revenue), Satej alias Bunty D Patil, minister of state (rural development), Aditi Sunil Tatkare, minister of state (Ports, special help)

 

The portfolios of Omprakash alias Bacchu Babarao Kadu, minister of state have been given to Aditi Sunil Tatkare minister of state (school education), Satej alias Bunty D Patil, minister of state (Water resources, labour), Sanjay Bansode, minister of state (women and child development), Dattatray Bharne, minister of state (OBC development).
