Man killed by slashing his neck with blade, youth held

PUNE : Policenama online – Pune Crime News | An incident has come to light wherein a youth killed another youth by slashing his neck with a blade and hitting him on his head as he was angered by the latter’s refusal to give ₹1,500 of the old mobile. (Pune Crime News)
The Warje police have arrested Ram Shrimant Waghmare (20), a resident of Warje flyover footpath. The deceased has been identified as Amarjeet Jagannath Goyal (50), a resident of near Warje flyover.
Police Naik Rahul Kadam has lodged a complaint (181/23) at the Warje Malwadi police station. The incident took place opposite Pruthak Barate Garden near the Warje bridge on Saturday at 11 pm.
According to the police, the police were informed that an injured person was lying on the footpath opposite Barate Garden near the Warje bridge. When the police took him to the hospital, the declared him brought dead.
The post-mortem report said the death had taken place due to his neck being slashed with a blade and injuries on his head. When the police started enquiring, they came to know about Nilesh Khoje and Ganesh Talkute. Amarjeet Goyal and Ram Waghmare were both staying on the footpath. Goyal had been given an old mobile by Waghmare. However, Goyal was not giving ₹1500 to Waghmare. There was a dispute and Waghmare assaulted him with a blade and Goyal died.
ACP Sunil Pawar, Sr PI DS Hake of the Warje Malwadi police station, PI Dattaram Bagwe, API Babar, PSI Manoj Bagal, PSI Kale and PSI Parve visited the spot. API Babar is carrying out a probe.
