Pune Crime News | PMPML woman conductor molested by the bus driver

Pune: A 17-year-old minor girl working in a service centre was molested by a 48-year-old man. This incident took place on Monday, May 13, at around 5.30 p.m. at a service centre company in the Modikhana area. In this regard, Lashkar Police have registered a case against a 48-year-old man under the POCSO Act and apprehended him.

The arrested individual has been identified as Ashok Babarao Khedekar (48), a resident of Karve nagar, whereas the victim is a 17-year-old minor girl who works as a receptionist in the service centre of a reputed company in the Modikhana area. The accused also works in the same company.

On Monday evening, at around 5:30 p.m., the accused went to the victim when she was sitting at the receptionist’s counter. At that time, the accused came there and started asking the girl about her family members. After that, the accused started behaving indecently with her and further kissed her without her consent.

The frightened young girl went to the washroom. However, the accused also chased her till the washroom and further tried to molest her and get closer to her, causing her embarrassment.

Following the incident, the victim girl told her family members about this, who then lodged a complaint against the accused at Laskhar police station. The police also took strict note of the incident and registered a case against the accused under Sections 7, 8, 11, 12, and 354 of the IPC and the POCSO Act. Lashkar police are conducting further investigations into the case.
