Mumbai: When estranged BJP leader Eknath Khadse officially joined the Nationalist Congress Party in presence of party supremo Sharad Pawar, there was one person ‘missing’ from the dais. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was not seen anywhere during this function which led to a lot of speculations of him being ‘unhappy’ over the developments. But those speculations were put to rest by Supriya Sule. She made a video call to Ajit Pawar and ensured that he and Eknath Khadse had a word after the latter’s entry into NCP.

Later, a video of this ‘virtual meet’ between Khadse and Pawar was also released. Sharad Pawar too brushed aside talks of Ajit Pawar being ‘disappointed’ saying that he is at home just to take precaution and care of the Covid-19 infection threat.

Ajit Pawar had reacted on Khadse’s joining of NCP. He said, “Khadse is a senior leader from the state and we all welcome him to the party. Khadse joining NCP will definitely boost the party’s prospects.”
