Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale gets a jolt; Supreme Court rejects his petition
Mumbai : Policenama online – The Supreme Court has given a jolt to Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale by rejecting his petition. His wife had registered a complaint against him accusing him of not paying four months’ alimony. Nagrale had filed a petition asking the court to dismiss her plea but he did not get any relief from the top court.
Hemant Nagrale was divorced in 2011 and the court had fixed a monthly alimony of
Rs 20,000. His wife had demanded that the alimony amount should be increased.
Nagrale’s first wife had filed a petition in the Bombay High Court seeking a hike in the monthly alimony to Rs 1.5 lakh and accommodation in Pune or Nagpur.
She has alleged that Nagrale had not given her four months’ alimony. She has also mentioned in the petition that this is not the first time that he has failed to pay the alimony. Nagrale had filed a plea seeking the quashing of the petition filed by his former wife but the Supreme Court has rejected his application.
