Nandurbar police raise Rs 6.5 lakh for family of cop died in accident; 110 stolen mobile phones worth Rs 11.46 lakh returned to owners

Nandurbar : Policenama online Nandurbar police | The family of a policeman, who died in an accident, was given a financial aid of over Rs 6.53 lakh. Special IGP, Nashik Range, BG Shekhar Patil handed over a cheque for the sum to the family of deceased policeman Nilesh Manik Pavara.

 

Pavara died in an accident within the jurisdiction of Taloda police station. Superintendent of Police Patil had appealed to police officers and personnel to help the bereaved family. SP PR Patil donated Rs 10,000 for the cause.

Moreover, several mobile phone theft cases were registered at various police stations in Nandurbar district. LCB PI Ravindra Kalamkar guided investigations to find those mobile phones. Based on technical analysis, the accused were traced to Dhule, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Around 110 cellphones worth over Rs 11.46 lakh were seized from them.

 

The seized mobile phones were handed over by Special IGP BG Shekhar Patil to the complainants.

Padam Harchand Koli (75), a resident of Damarkheda of Shahada taluka, who lost his wife due to Covid-19, received a financial aid of Rs 50,000 under a government scheme. He withdrew the money from his account and was heading back home when an unidentified person snatched away his bag containing the money. The Nandurbar police investigated the case and arrested the culprit. Rs 50,000 was seized from him. The seized money was returned to Koli as per the court directive by Special IGP BG Shekhar Patil.

 

Moreover, laptops worth Rs 2.64 lakh were stolen from the government high school, Panbara of Navapur taluka. The Navapur police cracked the case within 48 hours and seized the stolen laptops. These laptops were given back to Panbara Asharam School headmaster PP Wasave by Special IGP BG Shekhar Patil.

Speaking on the occasion, Special IGP Shekhar Patil said, “It will send across a good message about the police for their financial aid to the late policeman Nilesh Pavara. This is commendable work being done by the district police superintendent and the Nandurbar police.”

 

SP PR Patil said, “The police officers and personnel from the district are committed to society-oriented policing and helping weaker sections such as children, elderly, women and others.”

 

 

Special IGP, Nashik Range, BG Shekhar Patil, Nandurbar SP PR Patil, Addl SP Vijay Pawar, DySP Vishwas Valvi, DySP Atmaram Pradhan, SDPO Sachin Hiray, SDPO (Shahada) Srikant Ghumre, SDPO (Akkalkuwa) Samhaji Sawant and all incharge officers and police personnel of the police stations were present.
