12 prisoners brutally assault policeman in Nashik Central Jail
Pune: Policenama online – Nashik Central Jail | A shocking incident of a policeman being attacked by undertrial prisoners took place in Nashik Central Jail. Policeman Prabhu Charan Patil has been seriously injured. According to the information, about 10 to 12 prisoners brutally assaulted Patil.
The policeman asked the prisoners why they had changed the barrack. The angry prisoners brutally assaulted the policeman. The prisoners are accused in a murder case. The prisoners, who were shifted to the Nashik Central Jail from Yerawada Central Prison, Pune, assaulted the policeman.
Prabhu Charan Patil has been seriously injured. Since Patil was assaulted by 10 to 12 prisoners, the issue of safety of policemen in the jail has come to the fore.
The prisoners were brought to the Nashik Central Jail from Yerawada Central Prison a month ago. Patil has been admitted to a hospital and the jail administration is conducting the investigation into the incident.
