He has been allowed to use a bed, a chair and a mat as he is suffering from back pain. It is almost a month after his arrest on February 23. He was sent to the ED custody till March 3. Later, his custody was extended till March 21.
He was produced before the court on March 21. However, the court denied bail to him and extended his custody till April 4. The NCP has not removed him from the state cabinet. NCP state president Jayant Patil supported Malik and said that he has been wrongfully arrested.
Meanwhile, an alternative arrangement will be made till Malik gets justice. He will be a minister without portfolio, said Patil.
