NCP Office Pune | Pune: If anyone tries to take control of party office, I will complain to the police, says NCP city unit Chief Prashant Jagtap
PUNE : NCP Office Pune | NCP city unit Chief Prashant Jagtap said that the agreement of NCP’s party office is in his name. “Since I am the city unit chief, I have made it in my name. Tomorrow, if the other group tries to take over the office, I have the right to lodge a complaint with the police. Hence, no one can take control of NCP’s city office. Meanwhile, I will follow the instructions given by party’s state unit Chief Jayant Pawar regarding removal of Ajit Pawar’s photo from the office,” Jagtap said.
A meeting of the NCP city unit’s working committee was held on Tuesday afternoon. Later, Jagtap spoke to journalists. “A resolution was passed about supporting Sharad Pawar. To attend the party’s meeting in Mumbai, 300 to 350 activists will go to Mumbai. They will include senior activists and newly appointed office-bearers. The dispute between two factions is likely to turn into a legal battle. All activists and office-bearers signed a declaration that they are with the NCP lead by Sharad Pawar,” Jagtap said.
“Former corporator and MLA Chetan Tupe and MLA Sunil Tingre had been invited for today’s meeting. I don’t know why they did not come. However, the MLAs will attend the meeting to be held by Sharad Pawar in Mumbai on Wednesday,” Jagtap added. He also claimed that 23 out of 44 corporators were present at today’s meeting.
