Pune : Policenama Online – Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP from Baramati, Supriya Sule, has asked and written to guardian minister Chandrakaknt Patil to stop metro work in Hinjewadi.

She demanded that work should begin only after work on road is completed. There are fears expressed due to traffic jams and have demanded that the alternative roads should be completed first.

Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has started work on the Hinjawadi to Shivajinagar Metro six months after the stone-laying at the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Recent work of soil testing and other work related to metro has caused panic among the resident and IT professional since the step is likely to cause traffic jams.

Accordingly, various civic bodies and municipal authorities from the city had started taking measures to resolve the issues.

Sule has written to authority that only after alternative work is complete, then work for metro would begin.
