Congratulating the pilgrims through the virtual mode, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said 1,000 passengers including 900 pilgrims will visit Ajmer and Pushkar this time.
The Yatra, which was stopped for more than two years due to the Covid pandemic, has restarted this year.
During the current year, an arrangement has been made to send 7,000 pilgrims on seven phases to different destinations.
The Odisha government started the senior citizen tirth yatra Yojana on July 25, 2016, to help selected senior citizens visit holy places in the country.
So far 16,500 senior citizens have visited several religious places across the country under the Yojana.
