Panvel-based trekker dies after suffering heart attack on Lingana fort
Pune : Policenama online – Pune Lingana Fort | Since the holiday season has started, many tourists are going on a trek. One of the trekkers of a group which had come from Panvel to Lingana fort, died after a heart attack. The deceased has been identified as Ajay Kale (62). (Pune Lingana Fort)
According to the information, Lingana fort is situated on the border of Pune and Raigad districts. The route to the fort goes through Velhe taluka in Pune district. On Sunday, a group of trekkers had come to Lingana fort for trekking. The group comprised 6 to 7 people. Ajay Kale was the most experienced and elderly person in the group. He had a heart attack while trekking and he died on the spot.
Kale was trekking since 30 to 32 years and he had scaled many forts. He had come with the group to only guide them. He was not going to climb Lingana. According to available information, he died because of not getting medical aid on time.
